Established in 1916 by the visionary Kaviraj Jamini Bhushan Roy, J.B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata holds the distinction of being India’s oldest Ayurvedic academic institution. A site of immense historical pride, its foundation stone was laid by Mahatma Gandhi in 1925. Today, it operates as a premier State Model College under the Government of West Bengal, affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
