The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, is the apex autonomous institute under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Often hailed as the “AIIMS of Ayurveda,” it was established to provide a scientific, evidence-based framework for traditional medicine. The institute bridges ancient Vedic wisdom with modern technology, focusing on high-quality tertiary healthcare, postgraduate (MD/MS), and doctoral (PhD) education.

Its state-of-the-art campus features a 200-bed referral hospital, which is the first Ayurvedic government facility to achieve NABH accreditation. AIIA operates 25 specialty departments—including specialized units for integrative oncology, diabetes, and neurological disorders—that integrate classical therapies with modern diagnostic tools. Beyond clinical care, the institute serves as a global hub for research, drug standardization, and scientific validation. Through international collaborations and a focus on “Vocal for Local,” AIIA aims to position Ayurveda as a key pillar of global integrative healthcare and medical tourism.
