The Rashtriya Shikshan Mandal, Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya (TAMV) in Pune is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious institutions for Ayurvedic education. Named in honor of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the college was born out of the Indian freedom movement to promote indigenous medical sciences.

Affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), the college offers undergraduate (BAMS), postgraduate (MD/MS in 14 specialties), and Ph.D. programs. It is renowned for its clinical excellence, primarily through its association with the Seth Tarachand Ramnath Charitable Ayurvedic Hospital, a 340-bed facility that provides students with extensive hands-on experience in traditional treatments like Panchakarma.

The campus features modern laboratories, a vast library of ancient manuscripts, and a dedicated herbal garden. With a legacy of over 90 years, TAMV remains a premier center for integrating traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with contemporary medical research.
